Playing Field and Playgrounds
NOTICE
Dear Parishioners and Visitors,
Until essential repairs can be carried out, please do not play or climb on the roped-off equipment: roundabout and climbing frame with green slide.
Many thanks for your cooperation and apologies for any inconvenience,
Lacock Parish Council

Lacock Parish is very lucky to be filled with wide areas of open spaces and countryside. Much of the countryside is farm land, however there are open spaces on Bewley Common and in the village centre with the playing field, Abbey grounds, and community orchard.
Louise Heron and Patrick Holliday are the Parish Councillors responsible for looking after the Lacock playing field, and the play areas on Lacock High Street and Corsham Road. If you find any problems or issues with these areas please let them know by email stewardpc@btinternet.com or use the contact form.
The play areas are subject to annual independant inspection by ROSPA, and their risk assessment is used to ensure all maintenance is completed to a high standard and the areas are safe for use by all visitors.

Sports Court
Work has taken place on the village sports court. A basket ball net has been installed and five a side football ends constructed. A big thank you to Peter Glen and Patrick Holliday for all their hard work, and to Richard Heath for his generous donation in memory of his father Malcolm Heath.
The court is available to everyone in the community – perhaps for walking football or five aside knockabouts to help get fit before Christmas!
The area around the court has been fenced (to comply with the Parish Council lease it has with the National Trust) and will be grassed once new trees have been planted in January/February. The trees will be planted by children from Lacock School and Wise Owls to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Year.
